Thursday we took a few pictures and then we had to get them loaded for Grandma' benefit. Wish we could had more time but it was nice to have the family here. Mom and I got a few gifts for the girls. They had been doing ok. I think part of the problem was the build up to the entire event. Being a big kid myself, I just egged it on until we were completely saturated with the birthday. (See Target Story) As everyone knows, with little ones, you can't just have a birthday party for one, it is more of a family thing. So we got everyone a new dress. Cindarella and Snow White. We took a few pictures and had cup cakes. Remember, this is Thursday night and we still have to go to school in the morning.
Friday the girls headed off to the dentist but no one really wants to know about that. They did ok and our dental score was pretty good.
Saturday, now, here is the good stuff. Party at 3P and friends and family were pretty much on time. We had a wonderful time. The weather held enough we could be outside with jackets on. OC and Miss A joined us. Aunts J and MB brought MB's nephews. That worked out ok. They were good kids. Grandma and Grandpa came with Boy Wonder and James. Soccer joined when she got off of work. Uncle J, Aunt V, Cousin A and Baby C came up from San Francisco. They stopped at the train museum and had a look around first.
All the little girls had their Princess Dresses on. At times like these, there are wardrobes of Princess Dresses. OC was in all 3 of hers. Although my goal in 2008 was the change up the menu, we stayed with the tried and true; burgers and brats. Grandma made the cake. How fortunate are we with a Grandma of talent.
And then it was time for presents. Did I mention there lots of people who came. As you can see from the cake picture our theme was along the line of Princess, Ariel and Mariposa Barbie. She also got some really neat books from Jamie who is headed of tomorrow to start flight attendant school on Monday. Go James!We had several helpers to open presents. Everyone had a good time. Mom had it the roughest in that she had to keep Noodle from opening one and then going to the next without even looking at it. In the end, Barbie Mariposa did arrive.
They both slept pretty soundly and Sunday, it didn't take long for them to fall over and take a nap again. Mom had to go to work, gee what am I to do. Well laundry and the taxes if you really want to know.
