Here is our 4th of July pictures. CaNoodle, sat in a chair and ate homemade berry cobbler and ice cream. She was not really into the commotion. Noodle got up and did play with one maybe two sparklers. She liked them until they got down to the end or the smoke got in her eyes and then she was ready to be done with it.
I figured we were having so much fun with the sparklers it was time to get the "big guns" out. Earlier in the day both of them confirmed that they wanted to get some fireworks and set them off in the street in front of the house. We had to enlist "The Mom" to be our adult supervision since "safe and sane" barely covers my actions. We talked it up and got the girls all excited and then I lit the first wick. ~~~~ Before the first big firework was complete I saw Noodle running up the drive way crying followed by The Mom and CaNoodle crying in her arms as they headed into the house. And that was it. Fireworks for the girls were over. It sucks doing fireworks by yourself but there was no way I was going to let a bag of fireworks sit in the garage waiting for another time.
Swimming is a big deal around here. Often we are in the pool esp. on the weekends. Swinging is another one of the favorite past times. This is a picture of CaNoodle flashing her gang sign. That's right, we have a girl gang that lives with us, they are called, "The Dirty Face Gang" We believe they are fairly harmless but will eat you out of your junk food stash in a heart beat.
Ice cream is another favorite. Besides its summer and who wants to spend the summer without lots of vanilla ice cream.
Finally convinced Mom to get in and enjoy a little fun with the girls. Everyone had a pretty good time with it.
And last but not least on the update, we are riding our bikes on most weekends when it is not too hot. The best thing about that is wearing the bike helmets with our pajamas on Saturday morning to let everyone know what we are going to do for the day.
