New Shoes and more broken bones

Its time to go back to school and so this weekend we struggled / journeyed to the mall to come to a real world wake up call. These girls wear shoes that cost more than I buy for myself. Even at a discount on the second pair, WOW.....

Oh well, what are you going to do let them go around shoeless all day. That is one way to toughen 'em up but they are very keen to getting splinters in their feet so they like to wear shoes.

CaNoodle, indifferent to the shoe, just wanted to play on the toys in the store. Does like the pair we bought her bec/c she loves to run and jump in them.
Noodle, they had to be purple. shoulder shrugg....
And look at that temptous look in this picture coming from CaNoodle. She tries to be coy and look out of the corner of her eye at you when she is "up to something".

OK, I know, Rice Crispee Cookies for breakfast, hey they are breakfast food aren't they. Just like Chocolate Cake has eggs and flour in it!!!! And Noodle has taken a fondness for wearing tights. Last weekend, 103 degrees, Momma, can I wear tights. We said no, too hot. Today, the sky is cloudy and there is a breeze, tights again be/c we told her when it got cold. Well, its cold and so she outsmarted me into her tights.

So this afternoon I was in Target to get some more "stuff" that every family needs and they have their rain boots on sale. I am guessing last years version to make way for the new fall boots. I couldn't resist, esp. since I knew what size the girls feet were. And presto. Each are old enough to know what the word "cute" means and they spent the evening wearing their new boots exclaiming how "cute" they were.

Weekend was ok. We went to the Harvest Fair and although I thought it was going to be more like a farmer's market, it turned out to be a horticulture fair. I would have liked it but traveling with CaNoodle and Noodle; we ended up on the play ground instead. Did get a good nap out of each of them during the day but they both work up early on Sat and Sun morning.

Last night, I do not even to profess to understand what went on. CaNoodle was a bit stuffed up with a cold and would cough and wake herself up. About once every hour and half. Finally, about 1:00AM she went to sleep for the rest of the night. Not to be out done, Noodle had an accident that had to be cleaned up, then was scared in the middle of the night and then woke up crying be/c she could find her "doggie" thus beckoning parental, (ME) involvement in the middle of the night. To top it all off, I couldn't relax to fall asleep. Not to brag or anything, but maybe, 3 hours of sleep all night.

And for those of you keeping score on broken bones for me this summer, I dropped a gate on my right foot, (left foot has broken toes but not bad enough to slow me down much) and I don't know but there is a terrible black bruise on the top of my right foot. Mom seems it has something to do with working on projects in flip flops.
