Sandbox and Cake

Things are starting to settle down again. CaNoodle has gone back to sleeping most of the night. We went through a pretty rough spell of being up several times a night. I would walk her around the neighborhood to get her to go back to sleep. That usually worked fairly well but she had a problem getting comfortable on my shoulder sometimes. But all seems to be back to normal.
We redesigned Noodle's bedroom by moving around some of her furniture and adding some of her "art" to the wall. Pretty neat, but I think we are going to do it again.

We have a new sandbox this summer and guess who is the happiest playing in it. If you guessed "The Mom" you are a winner!

We also made a cake this week and I had help from my two supervisors. Even though they had lots of advice to offer, most of it was wanting to see what was on the spatula and how it tasted. The State Fair is in town until Labor Day. We are planning to go later this week. Maybe more than once. The theme this year is "Memories are best when they are deep fried". I am figuring they didn't get the American Heart Association approval. The big draw is the Fried Elvis Sandwich which is peanut butter, bananas and honey sandwich, deep fried. A couple of years ago I did the Deep Fried Twinkee, but think that I will pass on this delicious delite!

Yiyang Calendar is cranking up and we are going to be taking orders soon. So get out your wallets and get ready for a calendar collection of some of the "Spicy Girls of our Lives".
