Family Weekend

We needed a break and just spend some family time this weekend instead of running around. Not that running around is bad, we just needed to regroup for a weekend.

It was fun, hectic, relaxing and hair-raising all in the same time span. The girls ran both ends of the spectrum in cooperation and sitting in their room on time outs. On Friday night, NO ONE was listening so I put myself on time out, took the newspaper and went to my room to read. It was quite funny because 10 minutes later, after realizing they were getting no attention from me, the girls knocked on the door. Reverse Physcology at its best.
On Sunday we had crazy hair day (click link for additional pics) where everyone but the Dad had their hair put into all kinds of clips. This was in lieu of playing in the sand box. I think Mom wanted to play in the sand box. Saturday saw CaNoodle doing her Godzilla impression by stomping on all of the sand castles that were under construction. Didn't go over too well and that lead to fighting, throwing sand and all in all just whining.

I have made the decision that I am going to buy myself a new camera one day and get really serious about taking some good pictures. I think I have one of the original digital cameras. It operates at 2.0 megapixels and for 5 boxtops and $7.99 shipping and handling you can get a 6mp camera easily. Nikon and Canon both have a 10mp but we are talking upwards in the range of $1500. Plus, you know me, first born male child, I would want to have all of the lenses and stuff that go along with that and you can see where the price would get out of hand really quick like. So I have to wait until I get some other things paid off before I embark on this venture. And don't forget about all of the scrapbooking supplies that I just bought and one day, I am supposed to learn how to put video onto the computer so I can record the kids into digital format. Plus there is the job and school that keeps getting in the way !!!!!

As you can see in this picture, Mom steadily working away on Noodle's crazy hair with the sand box in the background just waiting for the girls to come get in it. I think the cat had an eye on it too so we got the cover put back on.

Last but not least..... Noodle in all of her glory. And pretty good picture since most of the time with her blue / grey eyes she will have the red-eye look. Next week we have Salmon Festival and maybe a trip to see grandma.

Of note, we talked to our Cousin Peyton in Houston who we are going to visit soon. She said that she would share her toys and let everyone play in her dollhouse as long as everyone cleans up her room afterwards. Sounds like a plan and I can't wait to go and visit family in Texas.
