OK, so we might be a little early in the celebration, but who cares. We went to our first halloween party and had lots of fun. They had games and crafts to do. Noodle and CaNoodle were both very pleased with all of the fun to do. Our friend, The OC, came so we got to play with her. Its going to be OC's birthday in a couple of weeks so we were on the scout for presents to bring. Apparently, on my suggestion of a large puppy her mother let me know that would be "unappreciated" at this time we could take it home ourselves.... hhmmm... more to come on that. And as the picture shows cow's do eat cupcakes.What a nightmare week it has been for "The Parental Units". Mom's job is going full tilt in 20 directions. They are coming out with some market upgrades and releases; however, everyone has waited until the last second to ensure their piece of the puzzle is working and that puts pressure on the Mom, aka, Mistress File keeper. And to add insult to injury, management's frustration seems to be directed at the people (Web Mistress) who have been working steadfastly on this. That stress just covers the first half of the day, the second half finds her home with the rest of the family units that wants to tug her in many directions as well. CaNoodle has entered the whiny clingy stage of the terrible twos. We understand what is going on in that she wants to feel secure. We also think she might have some form of allergies or a cold and that has caused her snot production to double and triple at times. It has also brought on a cough that will wake her at night and that means when she is awake, she cries out and that entails The Dad getting out of bed to hold her for a few minutes until she calms down and goes back to sleep. Between CaNoodle and the Dad, neither of us are getting much sleep.
Noodle really enjoys her new costume. She wants to sleep in it all the time and that doesn't make pajama movement easier. She is just more vocal and pronounced in her ability to announce her displeasure with whatever is NOT going her way. On the other hand, she sometimes tries to help calm CaNooodle down as a big sister will do. It is not all chaos all the time, sometimes they actually share and do play together quietly in their room.
The Dad.... that is another story. It was a very rough couple of weeks but slowly the ship has been righted and turned into the wind again and things are starting to look up. By hook or crook, they will look up.
And in honor of Breast Awareness Month. Like I need a whole month to be aware of breasts, here is my salute to those guys who figured it out first. I wonder if they franchise? And if they did franchise, what would the training program be like?? Hhmmm....
