It just never stops

Tuesday, 6:00AM, I have been up for an hour packing our bags. We are headed off to Texas for a family visit. My grandmother, making it the girls great-grandmother, and at age 97 rightfully so, has come from Peoria. My brother and his family are there so it will be a nice family reunion of sorts. Great-Grandma hasn't meet CaNoodle yet so it will be fun. Getting there is another story.
This week has been full on blast in the last 10 days. Mom is working huge OT hours to get a looming deadline met. That meant she had to work 10 hours last Saturday and then another 10 hours on Monday. Not to mention all of the OT that was done last week. To ease the pain a little, her company slipped her a spot bonus which was nice. As the dad, I have been holding down the fort, working, going to the doctor's office, going to school and just being all around tired all of the time.
I did get some help mowing the grass though.
Sunday night what a night mare that was. Apparently, when you give the kids cupcakes at 7:30PM they are going to still be going strong at 10:30PM. I had things to do, research to find out about. I had work that gets done in my quiet time after everyone goes to bed. But no, we had monkeys screaming and yelling and wouldn't lay down. Our instigator, CaNoodle, did it very sneaky. She would instigate on Noodle and then when I would turn around and tell her to stop, she would immediately lay back down and pretend to be alseep. (Beginning to see a pattern here that is going to last well into the future!) I was up until 2:30AM working and couldn't sleep. But did that stop me from getting up at 5:00A.... no sirree it did not! A little tired for my job interview.

Hats off to OC and Miss A. We were cordially invited to a great birthday party for OC who turned 4. She had lots of her friends and family there. PICTURES HERE.

And on a final note..... a real frosting moustache
