The Monkeys have escaped; RUN

Finally, we are getting to spending some family time again. The dad has started a new job as a program analyst, mom is not working as many overtime hours. Not quite there to have the house completely decorated for Christmas but it's a start.

Yesterday we went to the Folsom Zoo. Click here for pictures. Had a great time. It was cold but everyone wore their new hats and gloves. We spent the majority of our time running from one exhibit to the next. With the weather being cold, most people stayed away. At one point we might have had the place to ourselves. Please note the darn cute hats and gloves. Although the gloves were too big for both of them, they were a big hit. CaNoodle doesn't have the finger length to fill her gloves but she wore them anyway with the fingers just flopping around. Most of the remaining time was spent chasing the chickens and peacocks that walk around. Not that anyone was in any danger of actually being caught, it was good fun and exercise for everyone. Both girls ended up with rosy cheeks and laughing and when we got home, took a nap!
We have been having some competitive issues recently between the girls so we ran an experiement. Mom and Noodle stayed home and did girly things. They took a bath, washed hair, watched TV and just the two of them interacted. Good night for the both of them.

Dad and CaNoodle went shopping at the mall. Once we got there and inside, had a really nice time. CaNoodle came out of her quiet shell and was in a great mood. Maybe it had something to do with her afternoon nap and a good dinner; who knows. One of the nice things was I could have CaNoodle try on a robe and she doesn't know that it is her Christmas present. She wanted to carry the bags and pretty much enjoyed looking in all of the mirrors and annoucing to everyone that she is 2 by holding up 2 fingers.

One of our funny moments was our journey through Victoria's Secret. The girls are learning more about their own bodys and are taking note of the fact that Mom has breasts. Or in their languagep; "boobies" and the fact she wears a bra. Last night in Victoria's Secret CaNoodle repeatedly annouced there were boobies (her name for bras) everywhere. The maniquenes were not even safe be/c they had boobies too that was pointed out loudly. Drew quite a crowd of smiling on-lookers.

And this morning.... she slept in til 9A. Granted we got home at 10P and her into bed at 1030P but she needed a long good sleep as well as everyone needed a moment of peace from her. Mom and Dad were able to drink a pot of coffee and read the paper in quiet.

UPDATE: on December 8th, we had our Christmas party with friends. My job was to arrange for crafts and get everyone organized for a picture. If you count, you will find that I managed to get 37 kids all together for a picture with only one child crying; that would be my child.
Merry Christmas to all of our friends and to those who are in harms way for a safer America.
