Catching Up, July 21 - Lots of news

Our baby has turned 3. Well, not technically to the day, we just had her party early to fit into everyone's schedule. We had family traveling from Houston, Tx. Big hat tip to my dad making it out to see us again and being here.

We had a great time. It was probably one of the best parties that we have thrown. We kept is small and just family came this time. In soon enough time we are going to have a couple dozen little children running around, but this time it was just family. We changed up our menu and it was a big hit as well. CaNoodle got a hopscotch set from grandma and grandpa. And we finally did it. Not that it was what we wanted it was just the direction that the girls were going. Yes, that is right, we did bought them Hannah Montana sleep shirts. We had to threaten to put them in the washing machine with the shirts on, just so we can get them clean to wear.

Here are some pictures from our party. Do not forget to come back and see the rest of the story.

To get ready for the birthday, Miss Maryann sent ahead some birthday dresses. The girls got two matching dresses. I learned that the yellow one is better than the green ones. When you twirl in the yellow dress, they flair at the bottom and that... my friend, is the key to a good dress. Or at least that is the key in my house to a good dress.
To see the yellow dresses click here! Please come back though.
Next picture set has to do with the new gloves and daddy playing with his new camera. We were trying to capture flying hair and flinging water. I wasn't fast enough be/c I couldn't get Noodle to "flip" in the same location. And she wouldn't flip at the same height.
CaNoodle got some new leather gloves and was very excited to help momma trim the roses and pick up the pieces. As you can see, she is able to also work in her pajamas. And of note, these pictures are before her birthday. How do we know this, Hannah Montana sleep shirt! And who cannot resist just goofing around with a couple of goofy kids in a swimming pool. Click here for more pictures.
And last but not least in our update, 4th of July. We did all of the necessary things; went to our local parade. We sat on the curb to get some good parade candy. We saw clowns, Shriners in motor cars, dancing tractors. It was a great deal of fun. We also bought the girls some new goggles for the swimming pool. Poor Noodle got her ear twisted but didn't care be/c she just liked wearing the goggles and playing in the swimming pool.
That is about all we have been doing. Mom and Dad have been working and saving money. We are having fun each night with the girls. We limit the amount of TV and get the girls out into the backyard to play. We have to be careful because of the fires that have been around and the smoke that lingers in the air. It has been pretty bad some days with the AQI up around 200; I think that is maybe, twice the level for good air. Pretty bad stuff. We are fortunate in that we are not in a fire zone and we feel and pray for those people who have a different set of circumstances and decisions to make in these struggling time.
