June 4 - What a weekend

We started out on Thursday when Noodle and CaNoodle went to grandma's house for the night. I think they had a lot of fun because they ended going over to Aunt Sue's house because Great-Grandma had come out from Texas. Besides Aunt Sue has a swimming pool and a spooky forest behind her house so there is lots to explore and be concerned with. Grandpa took everyone to the farm to see Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa and play with the animals and just overall who doesn't like going to the farm. Esp when you are 3. Cowgirl CaNoodle had a wonderful time since she like to explore a bit more. Has a more "fearless" attitude sometimes to her own demise. Anyway, Mom and Dad..... Dad went to a dinner party through his work and Mom did exactly what she wanted, stay at home and relax. Friday it was awkward in the morning because the routine has us getting the girls up and out and they weren't there. We ended up going to a new place for dinner and then picking the girls up from Aunt Sue's. Pretty cool. HUGE THANKS TO GRANDMA AND GRANDPA!

Saturday Noodle went to a birthday party in the park. Dad went with and Mom and CaNoodle stayed at home. We think its important to recognize that Noodle has friends and CaNoodle will have her friends and birthday parties are sometimes, friend specific. Besides, Mom has lots of stories where she as the younger sibling got dragged along as well as when she got older, you younger sister got "included". So, off we went. The cool thing was, a jump house, makeup and of course, CAKE. Here is a picture of the "gang". These are all friends from school.

Sunday Dad went to Target. Now this is good and bad. Mom doesn't have to go and can stay at home and relax, however.... Dad is a big kid dressed like an adult. And it shows! And when it was all said and done at the end of the day we were all tired and ready for Sunday night! But let me tell you, the explosions you heard was the dynamite needed to get both of the "princesses" out bed come Monday morning. Recap Pics of the weekend.
Today is a big day for Noodle. She is starting swim lessons at school. Not that it's a bad thing, but Noodle doesn't like to get wet, splashed or squirted with the hose. She also doesn't like to wash her hair, get her face wet and it's a chore to wash her hair. So they have their work cut out for them to coax her in the pool and blow bubbles. Hopefully, fingers crossed, she will do ok.
Update on Dad. broken toes are healing but still painful. Can't really let it slow you down so 14 years in the Navy you just gut it up and move on. Besides, Mom doesn't see any blood and gives no sympathy when the other option is laying on the couch whining. (let me get bloody foot prints on the carpet and see how "real" it is and then its a whole new story!) Also, to make for an even better last week, dad had a root canal. Remember kids, brush and floss every day.
