The slide is a great hit. We had it inspected by several people, (birthday goers) over the weekend and it passed with a few "I would have done it differently but it looks good and sound.) Having said all of that, we were watching the girls playing on it last night and decided, (this is going to sound like really nervous parents) that perhaps it is just a little bit too high.
Not too high in the sense it is fun and everything but too high in the sense if someone fell from it, we are spending time in the emergency room. Call us wimps but I really do not want to observe the abuse upon the Medical System while holding a child who has fallen off the slide or fort. So in the next day or so, we are going to cut a foot off the base and lower it. Not that is a bad thing, we are only going from 6 to 5 feet. Still enough to bring about hours of fun.

And if you look real closely, CaNoodle does get airborne as she comes down. She loves it so much that she starts at the top just like the Luge runners in the winter Olympics. She has quite the little push off and can land up to 2 feet from the bottom of the slide. That is why we are going to cut it down a foot.
