Birthdays - Candy Land and a new bed

To catch everyone up, we have been extremely busy these last few weeks. But Noodle has not forgot that after grandpa's birthday she will be 4 fingers old. Wow, my baby 4 years old. It seems like yesterday I was cutting her cord in the hospital. We were walking down the hallway, lost in the very surreal fog of what was happening realizing that we were indeed parents. So I put together a quick reference for everyone starting with Day 0 in her birthday suit. The first picture is when she is probably 60 seconds old. That's right, 60 seconds!
This is our first year birthday. Uncle Jim, Aunt Virgina and Cousin A had given us the swing so we put it up in anticipation of warm weather and this picture taken waiting for everyone.
Birthday No. 2 Just getting older and cuter by the minute! Really learned about Cake by now.
Birthday No. 3. I was never very wild about cutting her hair but I also didn't like the Dolly Parton look when we blew dry it. But here we are fingers first into the cake.
No. 4. Coming around the corner. My baby is going to be 4. It just seems so shocking, so much like an entire lifetime; that nothing mattered before Noodle was born. We have our good days and our not so good days but most of all, it is hard for her to maintain the fasade of being a spoiled brat all the time. Although, I have heard told that what has done is wrapped daddy around her finger and that does not constitute spoiled bratness! Call it what you want but we wouldn't trade her for anything.

Candy Land. Let me first start by explaining the rules and you will understand why it is so hard for me to win or even get close. Upon getting the game out and setting it up, Noodle determines who is going to win; her, and who is going to come in second winner, CaNoodle and the rest is just the remaining field. Next she determines which specialty card she is going to get and what space she wants to jump too. These specialty cards are divided up between CaNoodle to a lesser degree. Finally, it comes time to pick a card and move. Noodle does all of the moving and seems to be her turn all the time. IF, and a big IF on that, you happen to draw one of the predetermined cards that she is going to draw, you must immediately trade with her and you lose your turn. At the end of the game, she is the winner by a landslide. One day... one day I will win!

Heading off this weekend to get Noodle a new bed. Although, she did like the pink bed at Pottery Barn for Kids, she does not have a job to be able to afford the price tag. No worries, because we think grandpa has a bed we can inherit. Have to check with Aunt Janet and Karen to see if they want them since they were their beds, but pretty safe we are going to end up with one maybe, two this weekend. Little sandpaper, a color agreement and a new mattress set and I think we will have a furniture moving party this weekend. Cross your fingers

With the new bed, it might prompt CaNoodle who will inherit the Sticker bed, aka Toddler Bed from big sister. Complete with stickers half peeled off and I noticed tonight some form of band aid stuck to it. CaNoodle has decided that she doesn't like sleep in the crib anymore. We have even taken it down. Not to worry, she doesn't mind getting up in the middle of the night and sleeping coming to bed with mom and dad. We figured that mom and dad have not slept the entire night since Dec. 28th.

Kids, they don't come with an instruction manual or a recipe book; what are you to do?
