Piggy Tails and Valentines

Been somewhat smooth sailing around these parts as of late. Last weekend I took the girls out to Sacto's Chinese New Year. It was great and we all had lots of fun. We took in an entire show and everyone was impressed with the Dragon / Lion Dance. The girls could have lived without the drums but they were very cute watching wide-eyed with their fingers in their ears. This is the picture with our new friend, Kai-Lan and her new TV show on Nick Jr. Sunday was Piggy-Tail day. That and the fact it was 71 degrees in the back yard we were all outside.

Don't know about Valentines for the Mom and Dad. The girls are going to grandma's house on Thursday. On Friday, they are going to Disney on Ice to see "The Princess' Show". I would like to go be/c I do love watching my children's face light up with surprise and joy at something they want to watch. But, there does need to be some Grandma time. I remember my grandma taking me to the picture show in small town Oklahoma. She wore a Pill Hat and I thought it looked odd. We saw 101 Dalmations and then the start of Swiss Family Robinson but it scared my little brother so much that we had to leave. That was 35 years ago and I remember it like it was last week. And, the girls are going to stay a second night with grandma. While I think that is great and will enjoy the quiet with Mom, I am not venturing too far away in the event that grandma gets worn down by the two "darlings". If she has reinforcements in line, then she will probably be OK. But come Saturday night after they leave, I am guessing a couple of beers and grandma won't make it past 8P!
Been thinking a good deal about the time frame of 4 years ago. That is very personal and probably won't make the blog.
Proof that she does actually sleep sometime. And that is the black puppy that she plays with sometimes. And that makes one of the brief angelic moments!
