Rainy Sunday - a week later

Playing a little catch up on the blog. Here is a picture set I call the Dairy Queens . For some reason everyone had been on their best behavior. About this time of the year I think about my mother and all the things that we used to do. One of her favorite things to do was to go to Dairy Queen from time to time. Although, it was usually in the summer I decided that I wanted to relive a bit of the nostalga that my mom shared with my brother and me.

Last weekend we went down for Grandpa's birthday party. It was a lot of fun and the girls, now that they are getting older, are more adventuresome and more outgoing at family event. It was a tough haul in the rain both ways but we did what we could to be safe. As the dad I took extra precautions short of not going because of weather. (Also in this set you will notice my helpers for making cookies. They were great help until I turned my back and busted them for eating the dough off the spoon. Or in CaNoodle's case, licking it off the side of the bowl.)

Now that Grandpa has had his birthday Noodle is very aware of the fact that her birthday comes next. Daily and at times, several times during the day, she will give us an idea of what she wants for her birthday. I don't know where we are going to store all of the little ponies that she wants. Here is our Oldest and next-to-Youngest. Age range 83 - 2.5
